The vision of Aloft Wines was first introduced by their father and mentor, Marc Mondavi, as a nod to his father’s winemaking philosophy - that all wines should portray the soul of the vineyard. Family farming has always been at the nucleus of the Mondavi Family and in turn tells an authentic story of why the sister’s roots run so deep. Keeping this intention at the forefront of the family's focus, the Mondavi Sisters acquired Aloft Wines from the family corporation in 2017 and continue to strive each year to create a single-vineyard, single-varietal Cabernet Sauvignon that expresses the dynamic characteristics of Howell Mountain.The label has expanded with the addition of the sister’s first white wine, the Aloft Chenin Blanc; which has added depth and variety to the sister’s portfolio and offerings. Truly a Sisters’ brand, the Mondavi Sisters, collectively, strive to create a wine of superior quality that continues to honor their legacy, their land, and each vintage with the same passion and devotion their forefathers passed down for generations. A family seeing themselves as not only farmers originally but simultaneously stewards of the land as they continue to produce one of a kind wines.
